When I was a kid, I “invented” the tripledecker. See if you can keep up…Bread.Peanutbutter.Jelly.bread.jelly.peanutbutter.bread. The big mac of homemade lunch sandwiches, and the source of my manly girth.
I thought I was the only crazy person who did this.
I also make a “well” out of the PB in order to hold the jelly in better and stick the edges of the layers together. IT’S A JELLY EXPLOSION.
Where Im from we called it the three deckah, after the triple deck apartments EVERYONE in and from Worcester, Mass knows so well. Empthy out the loaf of bread, make 3 3 deckahs, and 1 paltry regular-ass pbj, (with the butts of the loaf) then back into the bag, and off to lake Quinsigamond, done.
