La Pista Resistance12 May 2009
I was back in Sydney earlier in the year and noticed it to be a more bike friendly city than the last time I was there. There is still along way to go till it catches up with Melbourne with its bike lanes, parking, general feeling. You also have to keep one eye open for the petrol heads who try to run you down on a weekend night after a night out in Kings Cross.
In Sydney you can take your bicycle on ferries and trains (tho the trains that run during peak hour you will have to pay a childs fare for your steel). La Pista Resistance is a Sydney based crew of bike loving fixed gear riders. They meet at the Cricketers Arms pub (check the ways post on this fine establishment here) every Wednesday night for a laid-back social(pubcrawl)ride. The above pic is from their flickr page.
