Jesse came to Japan earlier in the year and spent a few nights drinking at the Kinfolk Lounge, it took him a day to travel down to Kansai to take these awesome photos of Kusaka`s workshop, and then Jesse decided he wanted to go full circle and order a custom Kinfolk Bicycle. Here is Jesse`s story shot in time lapse.

I was back in Sydney earlier in the year and noticed it to be a more bike friendly city than the last time I was there. There is still along way to go till it catches up with Melbourne with its bike lanes, parking, general feeling. You also have to keep one eye open for the petrol heads who try to run you down on a weekend night after a night out in Kings Cross.
In Sydney you can take your bicycle on ferries and trains (tho the trains that run during peak hour you will have to pay a childs fare for your steel). La Pista Resistance is a Sydney based crew of bike loving fixed gear riders. They meet at the Cricketers Arms pub (check the ways post on this fine establishment here) every Wednesday night for a laid-back social(pubcrawl)ride. The above pic is from their flickr page.

Whatever it is.. I can’t stop! You be the judge.. ENJOY!
We are as gods and might as well get good at it. So far, remotely done power and glory — as via government, big business, formal education, church — has succeeded to the point where gross defects obscure actual gains. In response to this dilemma and to these gains a realm of intimate, personal power is developing — power of the individual to conduct his own education, find his own inspiration, shape his own environment, and share his adventure with whoever is interested. Tools that aid this process are sought and promoted by the WHOLE EARTH CATALOG.

Sometimes I forget that not everyones parents were hippies, Not everyone went picking mushrooms with indians in the rainforest when they were kids, and not everyone had The Whole Earth Catalog on the table.
Thanks mom.
