In Latin Tradition, Kings Day is celebrated on the 12th day after Christmas..Jan. 6 for the Scientologists out there…this here is a little collection of pics from the King’s Day celebration that I attended at my friend Diana’s crib. I am not latin but I am an honorary South American/Cuban due to my prodigious eating habits and my many years servin up some of Seattle’s finest latin cuisine at the late,great Fandango. I also am a long time supporter of the underground doom metal scene in Puebla,Mexico.

2008 Keirin Grand Prix Final

On the 30th of December Kinfolk made the 100km journey out of Tokyo to Hiratsuka`s Shonan Bank to place a few bets at the 2008 Keirin Grand Prix. We took a bunch of pics and have them posted up here. We also bumped into Shizuka (pictured) from the Bicycle Film Festival, Shino (2008 CMWC Winner), and Gogo (Tokyo bike messenger legend).

We didn`t win any money but we sure did knock back a few Kirin Nama Beers.

I think our living room is to small.

i think the next kinfolk product should be these bad boys for the shorties. The design of this is so siiiiick. Made by samsonite in 1972. I love the wide wheels. Start your kids on a two wheeler from day one. None of this tricycle nonsense.

There was a time when my whole crew rolled Datsun mini-trucks. Except me. I had the Datsun 510 wagon. Which would get stolen on an almost daily basis. I was also always a terrible model builder as a kid. I had no patience, and also, i wanted to play with the damn things, not just build them. Wouldn’t mind rolling around in one of these bad boys either…
