Tonight I saw Les Savy Fav at the Highline Ballroom. The band was awesome as always, but everything else about the evening…was fake. That’s my new all purpose slander. Fake. The indie rock aesthetic is a shoddy simulation of itself. It would be obtuse of me to even go on, as so much has ben said on this topic already. But I will harp on two things.
