On the 30th of December Kinfolk made the 100km journey out of Tokyo to Hiratsuka`s Shonan Bank to place a few bets at the 2008 Keirin Grand Prix. We took a bunch of pics and have them posted up here. We also bumped into Shizuka (pictured) from the Bicycle Film Festival, Shino (2008 CMWC Winner), and Gogo (Tokyo bike messenger legend). We didn`t win any money but we sure did knock back a few Kirin Nama Beers.

Next month it’s back to Ramen Island for a few nights at bonobo with our favorite foreign correspondent. Actually I am planning on being there all month to get these frames finished, and back in time for the snow.    Anything that you all want in a frame?

And so I get back to our secret Crown Heights stronghold, with 13 choice Japanese Keirin Track frames. Frames that span the history of Keirin builders, with the oldest being an Everest, a company established in 1905. the newest post Y2K, a Presto built that yet to see street or velodrome.
