Better Days

26 September 2008 One Comment

They say that Japanese people really know a thing or two about rice. Its also been said that the guys who drive these ultra right wing trucks all over Japan, especially on public holidays, like to eat alot of Japonica (Japanese Rice) in support of the farmers who grow it. I am all for rice, not so much into the trucks tho.

Rice is certainly the staple diet in Japan, much the same way bread is in European countries. One thing people may not know about the Japanese, is that they also know a thing or two about bread.

Better Days in Sendagaya is run by a Japanese guy who knows how to put great tasting ingredients in between even greater tasting bread. Its the package deal your getting when you sit down to lunch at this comfy little diner ~ Soup, Salad, Sandwich, and Coffee.

I was there for breakfast yesterday and i will co-sign this, but , i gotta say… two blocks down, next to Sendagaya Sho-Gaku is a bakery, called “Afternoon Tea” and as I write this with my left hand , I am stuffing a Deep fried mashed potato Sandwich into my face with my right hand. The fact that you live right in-between these places makes me wonder why you are not a Fat Ass?
