America has a long history of bad Vice Presidents. Everyone immediately thinks of Dan Quayle, but few people remember that Thomas Jefferson’s VP, Aaron Burr killed a guy. He challenged Alexander Hamilton to a duel after Hamilton made some spicy comments at a diner party.

After being ousted from the govt. for gangsterism, Burr formed his own army and tried to have himself declared Emperor of Mexico. The man had cojones, to say the least.

That Suave cat known as Spiro Agnew put the “Vice” In Vice President. The Only VP to ever resign due to criminal charges, although it should benoted that said charges were from when he was Governor of Maryland. He was Greek, there was money changing hands, fans of “The Wire” can fill in the blanks as they see fit.

As VP he served his nation proudly, and was known for talking slick when the time called for it.

Agnew was known for his tough criticisms of political opponents, especially journalists and anti-Vietnam War activists. He was known for attacking his opponents with unusual, often alliterative epithets, including “nattering nabobs of negativism”, “pusillanimous pussyfooters”, and “hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history”. He once described a group of opponents as “an effete corps of impudent snobs who characterize themselves as intellectuals.”

Rumor has it that his own president tried to have him killed.
